me & my sister
- Becca (and family) left this morning. I always feel a profound sense of sadness when my family leaves. It takes a few hours for me to let it go and get back to my normal self. Our home felt empty and quiet and boring. I like having people around. I'm actually surprised how well we did with five extra people in our little place
- David wasn't interested in the family photo. Even Katie couldn't convince him to join in. We were joking that we would sub George in for him then photoshop in David's face
- George, as we waved goodbye in the garage, you were sad as well, and said "I'm going to miss McDavid so much. He's my best buddy."
- Becca, I love you so much. I love your resiliency. You've gone through some tough stuff and come out shining on the other side. I can't wait to see what you do with your personal training. You're going to make such a difference in so many women's lives, I just know it. I can feel it in my bones
- I love the Piper family. You guys get along with our family so well. Dan, you're a great guy. I enjoy the way the girls giggle and talk and hang out. I love hanging out with James and answering all his questions. I love the way my little ones love McDavid so much. Lila, you thought they should stay for at least four more nights. I agree
- I'm grateful for my garage photo studio. I wish I had realized years earlier what a gem it is
- Daddy and I went on a pho date today. We were both pretty quiet. I was feeling sad that Becca had left. Daddy was feeling shell shocked. Hahahaha. We're total opposites...yet somehow it works. I love him
- Lila and George, I FINALLY got a wardrobe for you after a year and a half of looking. I've been searching on Craigslist for a few months already, and have looked at several, but they just weren't right. A few days ago, a lady that daddy works with (Elaan) posted a wardrobe on Facebook. Whoa! It was exactly what I was looking for. So perfect. Fits like it was made for the space. You're both really excited about it
- I'm working on a capsule wardrobe for myself (33 pieces), and I think I'm going to get a minimalist wardrobe together for you two as well. It will make school mornings so much simpler if we have everything organized and you can see everything you have. Right now, you have so many clothes, we're all overwhelmed with the volume. There are still some pieces you've never worn after a year. It's incredible
