christmas eve
- We spent the Christmas Eve with Auntie Georgia, Uncle Ben, Auntie Maria and Uncle Rick. They feel like family. We are blessed
- This was our first Christmas at home in many years. We decided to start some of our own Christmas traditions. When I asked daddy what his family usually did on Christmas Eve, he said they either had pizza or corn chowder. We decided to adopt that tradition
- Auntie Georgia brought a few frozen appetizers. Rick and Maria made a curry crab dip. It was to die for
- We received a couple new photo books in the mail. I love to watch you guys look through them. Lila, you're still sad that there aren't any with you in them (I'm just a teeny tiny bit behind in making them!)
- We all opened one gift. Jane, I've never seen a kid so happy to receive underwear
- Katie, I love the picture of you laying on the couch with your feet on auntie Maria's lap. I love that you love my friends and that they love you right back
- Lila and George, you opened the gifts you gave each other (stickers from the dollar store). You were so moved by the presents, you couldn't help but hug and kiss each other over and over again. Lila, you made a pretty little picture with yours. George, you used every single one of your stickers and stuck them all willy nilly and over top of each other. Lila was horrified. You were delighted
- Auntie Georgia introduced us to "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" and now it's our favorite Christmas song
