- Ok, so I took a lot of photos today. Over 500!! Dareian and I wanted to go out and take photos of a kid. We figured George was our best bet, so we rifled through his dresser until we found these little suspender pants, then added the hat and a little fishing rod. Jane, when you came out to the living and saw George you were like, "Oh my gosh! Why is George wearing that. He looks so weird." It was so funny. And you were kinda right. But he was also completely adorable. I gotta get these things out of my system before he cares about what he wears
- We all headed down to Colony Farms, then Jane took the little ones and Dareian and I took George. George, you're so stinkin' cute, I can barely handle it sometimes. You were a pretty good sport about having your photo taken, but then suddenly you had enough
- It was really quite hot out, so we headed to 7-Eleven for a Slurpee. Jane, your Slurpee was really pretty. An icy work of art :)
- George, you were so tired, you were in bed by 6:00. Dareian and I wanted to go out again to take photos, so we decided to take Katie and Lila. Jane, you stayed home with Georgie and McDavid. George was sleeping, so you held David and rocked him while you watched a movie. He was feeling sad because he missed his dad, but was completely happy in your arms. He fell asleep with you. What a nice big cousin you are, Jane. How lovely that David trusted you and felt comfortable enough with you to allow you to comfort him when he was tired and sad. And how you managed to get him up onto the top bunk without waking him, is a miracle
- We went down to Barnet Marine Park, and as usual, it was pure magic. The light and the water and the trees and the mountains makes for unparalleled beauty.
- Katie, you were so sweet with Lila. You had a ton of fun together. She adores you
- Katie, you and Dareian spent a long time turning rocks over looking for little crabs. You're hilarious because you love doing it, but you scream every time you see a crab
- After coming back home, Dareian and I had another wine/cheese sauce/photo reviewing party while watching Netflix. Once again, I stayed up too late, but I have no regrets. I need to squeeze in every moment I can get with that girl
- Daddy and the guys had a nice day in Squamish. In the morning Uncle Dan and Uncle Danny went to the water for a walk. Uncle Danny slipped and split his forehead open...but he was able to save his camera, so you know, heads heal. At least he had his priorities right (Joking!) Poor guy. He was fine, just had a cut and maybe a bit of a concussion. (Actually, that reminds me of the time I was facetiming grandma and grandpa on my iPad when Lila was a baby. Lila lurched forward unexpectedly, and bumped the dresser where the iPad was resting, and I had to make a split second decision whether to save the iPad or the baby. Haha. I chose the baby. The iPad smashed. It broke my heart a little, but I suppose it was better than smashing the baby.) They had a lazy day and sat around talking politics and jamming. Then they went to Whistler and had a fancy dinner together at the Barefoot Bistro. Daddy said the food was delicious, and the service was amazing. He'd recommend it
