- I must be in a mood today. I couldn't edit my photos in anything but black and white even though I saw the sun for the first time in a couple weeks. This smoke is really getting to me. For the most part, I spent yesterday in bed with a fan blowing on me. My head was aching, my throat hurt, my eyes hurt, I was really hot and sweaty, and the air was thick with humidity. I didn't take a single photo yesterday which is extremely unusual for me.
- Lila, you're still so attached to me. Every time I leave the house without you, you burst into tears, and when I return, you give me a big speech about how terrible it was to be without me, and how next time I really need to bring you with me. I love you. I'm glad you like me. I wish I could bring you everywhere I go because you're a pretty good buddy on outings and I love spending time with you. You came on a client meeting this morning. You promised to be "very quiet and very still," and you totally stuck to your word.
- Katie, I finally hung the curtains in your bed today. They look so good! I don't know what took me so long to get them up. I just need to get the mirrors on your closet doors, then I'll be finished decorating your room.
- Jane, you're at Tia's now for the next couple days. We miss you. It's quiet here without you.
- George, you're still wearing your green dress. You comment several times a day about how beautiful it is. You even wore it out of the house today. We went to Cultus Lake to see Auntie Jenny and the kids. They're camping with friends for a few days. You wanted to wear your dress because you wanted to look so good for them. You're adorable.
- I'm such a space cadet sometimes. I wore my prescription sunglasses out to Cultus Lake, but forgot my regular glasses at home. So I ended up driving home in the dark in my shades. Good thing I was driving under the city streetlights by the time it got dark.
- It has really cooled off today. I'm grateful. I feel human again. I was reaching my breaking point yesterday. I was even considering buying an air conditioner, which I've been very much opposed to in the past. I'm even wearing a sweater as I write this. I never thought I'd see the day.
