teacher's pets
- George and Lila, we stopped in at daddy's school after lunch to say hello and meet his class. Daddy said the kids were super excited to meet you. We stayed just a few minutes because they were in the middle of a lesson. You were both kind of shy with everyone staring at you.
- Lila, your allergic reaction is still going strong. You woke up this morning and your face and ears and neck were covered in welts. Benadryl calms everything down, but as soon as it wears off, you start getting itchy again. When you woke up from your nap your lips were all swollen. I felt worried when I saw that, but again, the Benadryl took it away. I called the nurses hotline to ask when I should feel concerned. She recommended I take you to a doctor. I called Dr. Chang, but he was already gone for the day. His receptionist recommended I make an appointment for tomorrow, because that in itself would probably cure it. She's so funny. We'll see tomorrow!
- We picked Jane up from school because it was raining so hard. There is an art installment in the hallway that we looked at for at least 15 minutes. Lila, you're so thoughtful about art. You really observe and study it.
- George, you're still pretty sure you're getting Lego guys for your birthday. You got rid of a bunch more toys today to make room for them. I'm loving this.
- Katie, I didn't take you to your soccer practice tonight. Auntie Jenny and Keegan and Jack were arriving this evening, and it was pouring rain, and I was feeling a little too busy, so I made the executive decision to cancel. I'm really happy I did. And you were happy too. The rain is miserable today.
- Katie, Lila and George had taken a pile of books up onto Lila's bed and were reading to themselves. You told me that you looked in their room and saw them and they just looked so cute that you decided to go up there and read to them. You're the sweetest. After you read a few stories, wrestle mania began. It got a little wild. You got down pretty quick.
- Jane, after Lila finished wrestling with George, she asked if you would snuggle with her. You went to your bed and snuggled in and chatted while you showed her stuff on your iPod. I love seeing the love between you guys.
- Auntie Jenny, Jack and Keegan arrived tonight around 8:00. It's so awesome to have them here! I love having family in our home. I know our little apartment isn't the most comfortable space for a crowd, so I'm honored when people choose to spend their time here.
