sunrise
- Katie, you came to my room to wake me up bright and early so I could see the beginning of the sunrise. I was so sleepy, I grabbed my glasses and rushed towards living room...and ran straight into the wall. It was so funny.
- I dropped everyone off at school then headed straight out to Abbotsford to meet Auntie Kim for coffee. Katie, you had asked her to be a reference for our family for your exchange trip to Quebec. I was more than happy to deliver the forms to her. George, you sat with us for two hours and played with your guys and drank your hot chocolate. You brought your tub of toys. The tub you pack everywhere with you. It's ridiculous, but hey, it comes in pretty handy on all our errands.
- Jane, you told us the funniest story today. Back at the beginning of grade 9 there was a boy who was teasing your and your friends and he took your glasses and put them in a tree. You couldn't find your glasses because you're blind without them. You tackled him and pinned him to the ground until he surrendered and brought your glasses to you. I laughed and laughed when you told me. I'm so impressed that you stood up for yourself with so much enthusiasm and humor. Imagine your surprise when he was standing at our door a couple weeks ago! It turns out he's the brother of one of Katie's friends.
- I took three photos today. It's a record low for me. I wish I would have taken a photo of Auntie Kim and I at coffee. There was a man there who tried flirting with Auntie Kim. Who wouldn't flirt with her? She's so pretty.
