- Jane, this morning you and Auntie Shari had your traditional game of Monopoly. No one else will play with you because you're completely ruthless. And as it turns out, so is Auntie Shari. We set up a little table in the living room so you two could go at it without interrupting our morning.
- Katie, you had a two hour soccer practice in the pouring rain. Your first practice after the holidays, and your coaches worked you hard. You were the only team out there. I guess everyone else is starting after the weekend. You were happy to be back with your friends. Auntie Shari wanted to watch you for a bit, so I took her down there for the last 15 minutes, but practice had ended early so she didn't get to see you at all.
- Lila, you had your first kid party today. A friend in your kindergarten class invited you to her birthday party at Club Aviva. You were so excited. You made her the most awesome card I've ever seen. You worked in a feverish silence as you glued and taped and drew. You were so proud of your masterpiece. I have to admit, the feathers were a really nice touch.
- Jane and Katie, Auntie Shari had wanted to buy you something at the play yesterday, but there wasn't any merchandise at all, so she decided to buy you make up instead. You were both OK with that! At the mall, we went straight to MAC because Jane, you had done a fair amount of internet research and had concluded that MAC was your best bet for getting good foundation and concealer. The woman who helped us was really great. Helpful and funny and kind. She got each of you set up with awesome stuff. You all looked so pretty! It almost inspired me to start wearing makeup again. I used to do my hair and put on makeup and wear cute outfits every day. Now I'm pretty much in a mom uniform. Leggings, a loose shirt, and my hair in a ponytail. I'm getting my hair cut next week, so maybe that will be the start of the return of Missy.
- Lila and George, you were fascinated with the new makeup the girls had gotten. Lila, you worked on George's makeup with great care. George, you were so proud of your beauty after she had finishes. You guys are adorable.
