- Lila and George, you were busy busy busy today. I asked if you if you wanted to go out to a lake or a park, but you said you just wanted to stay home (which is unusual!) so we did. You colored for a looooooong time and then played with the rice forever. You were making birthday cupcakes
- The sunshine returned today. It feels like forever since we've had some sun. You danced in it, then danced and twirled and danced some more
- I'm trying to learn how to free lens. When I was learning how to use manual exposure, I took a lot of photos of my feet. Nothing has changed. Freelensing is really hard, but I'm determined to learn how to do it
- We built a fantastic fort in the living room today. Lila, you made beds for you and George, and then you guys settled in and watched Trolls. You love the music. Lila, you sang and danced your way through most of the movie
- George, you worked hard on your "baking." You were pretty conscientious about putting your cupcakes in the fridge and making sure everything was perfect
- Lila, after dinner you asked if we could go for a long walk. Of course we can!!!!! You don't have to ask me twice to go out and explore. We had the best time collecting treasures from the forest and around the neighborhood. We admired all the flowers sprouting and the blossoms that are just starting. You know all about spring...you must have seen it in a show or something. We went to Save On and got milk, and you were an absolute delight. Everything you saw, you were like "Oh my gosh, this is amazing" or some variation of that.
- Lila, you have started skipping. To me, it confirms that you are happy and carefree, and there's nothing more I could want for you at this moment in time. Four is an incredible age
- After dinner tonight, Jane and Katie, you stuck around for a long time to chat and laugh with me and daddy. We remembered the time when Katie was in kindergarten and she was in tears about having to do the Terry Fox run. We finally were able to get it out of her that she thought she had to run across Canada and they were going to cut her leg off. So cute. Also, that time she asked us, "How does the car know where to go?"
