puddle fun
- Lila and George, we went down to Colony Farms after dropping the girls off at school. I was hoping the buttercups would be out...and they were! The field was so pretty. Unfortunately, you guys had zero interest in the flowers and were instead obsessed with a pile of dirt beside the field. Lol. So funny. You had a great time playing in the dirt though
- George, you always like to drink out of the dog fountain, which I find utterly disgusting, but every time I turned my back, you were down there having a drink. Crazy kid
- George, I regularly have to put you on a "spot" while we're out to give you a minute to calm down and collect yourself. I've decided to collect a series of photos because I might as well find the good and celebrate it!
- We found a little table and chairs in the middle of the community gardens. You two sat down and pretended to have tea. At one point, Lila, you accidentally dropped Georgie's ninja in the mud and he started crying. The look on your face was so funny. You were so confused by the depth of his sorrow
- Then we found the biggest muddy puddle that ever existed. I can't believe how wet and soggy it still is down there. You quickly stripped down and jumped in. You guys cannot resist water
- We came back home and had a bath, then Lila, you started the long process of choosing a new outfit. Today it was a long sleeved shirt under a bathing suit, with a skirt over top
- Lila, you grabbed a few pantyliners on your way out the door because you wanted to do some drawing in the van. Katie, as soon as we pulled up to your school, the look on your face was priceless. I hadn't realized that Lila had stuck them to the side window, and they were visible from the outside. The mortification was almost more than you could bear. I quickly asked Lila to move them off the window, but the damage had been done. I really need to get that kid some post its
- Danny and Dareian arrived today around 4:00. We were all so happy to see them. Uncle Danny came for his bachelor weekend and Dareian came to hang out with us. Soon after they arrived, we discovered we had lice. It was an interesting start to a visit. Luckily, we're old pros at lice and we caught it early. Funny story though, Daddy was in the middle of vacuuming and the vacuum died. He had to run quickly to Costco before it closed and get a new one. Never a dull moment around here
- Uncle Dan and McDavid also arrived this evening to spend the night. We had a full house!! Good thing everyone is so flexible and open to crazy sleeping arrangements.
