- Today was a day I've been looking forward to for a long time. Uncle Danny, Dareian, Dad and I went downtown to try our hand at street photography. It's really difficult for me because it's a whole different mindset. My eye is so trained to look for moments between my kids in natural settings, that it's a real challenge to slow down and look for angles and light and have the patience to wait for something interesting to happen. I find myself still very focused on people that I forget to look up and look down and really observe what's happening around me. I don't feel like I got any amazing shots today, but I feel like I'm getting better at observing. I hope to keep getting better at it
- I challenged myself to use a zoom lens, which is pretty far out of my comfort zone. I always use prime lenses, so this was also a stretch for me. I used the 18-105mm lens. I appreciated the wide angle. I'm thinking that I might need to get a wide prime
- We had lunch at Taco Fino. Man, was it ever good. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I would highly recommend it. We all shared a plate of nachos, then daddy and I had a fish taco. So good!
- After dinner, we met Uncle Luke and the boys at Burnaby mountain to hang out and watch the sun set. Wow. Vancouver, you are AMAZING. How lucky are we to live it a place that abounds with this type of beauty. I hope I never take it for granted
