photo day
- Seems kind of silly to title this post "photo day" since every day is a photo day. But this was a special one! Every time Danny and Dareian come to town, we plan a day to go out and take photos. This time, I wanted to explore downtown specifically looking for pockets of bright light against deep shadows. I started following a photographer on Instagram (Jeffrey M Karp) and felt so inspired! I sometimes shy away from hard light and midday sun, so this was exciting for me!
- Our first stop was a place where Uncle Danny and Heather had been a few days before. He took a photo of his niece on this moving walkway and it was AMAZING, so we recreated it with Dareian. Dareian, you're such a good sport. We kinda got in trouble and I think we were close to being kicked out, but we had to #doitfortheart, right?
- Heather and Ethan, thank you so much for letting us boss you around and following our weird directions and stopping every time we saw something interesting. You're the best.
- We went to Taco Fino for lunch. Uncle Danny had told Heather about it from our last photo day, and she really really wanted to try it. As usual, it was delicious. So fresh and tasty. Yum.
- Jane, tonight was the opening night of the play!!!!!! I was so excited. I ditched everyone to come watch you. I ran into Tia there and ended up sitting with her in the front row. Perfect spot for seeing you up close in the fairy den. You were so great. The production is incredible. I'm so impressed. Actually, impressed isn't the right word, I was blown away. You guys brought that play to life. It was funny and intriguing and beautiful. Nice work. And of course, you were the most talented fairy on that stage. I'm so proud of you. I can't wait to see it again. That's one thing I love about live performances. Every night is different and it's anyone's guess as to what might happen. I also find it so interesting how different audiences react in different ways to the same material.
- I'm so inspired by your play, that I think I'm going to ask Mr. Case if I can photograph it. It would be my honor to document all the hard work you guys have put in over the last few months.
