beauty & the beast
- Jane and Katie, Auntie Shari was pretty surprised to see you teenage girls in action. She's never seen you sleep past 8am before. I had to go into your room at 10 to wake you up to get ready to go to the play.
- All of you looked so pretty. Daddy drove you downtown and dropped you off. He then went to hockey.
- During our conversation this morning, it came up that Auntie Shari had never had poutine before. We were stunned. Who hasn't had poutine before???? Hahaha. We decided to take her for poutine tonight for dinner.
- I came downtown and picked you up from the play. I loved listening to your excited chatter and descriptions of the sets, the characters, the actors, the costumes and the singing. Jane, you said the ensemble was the best you've ever heard. Everyone was well cast, and the whole experience was just great.
- We stopped at Costco so Auntie Shari could try poutine. Besides Smoke's Poutinerie, we all think (surprisingly!!) that Costco has the best poutine. Auntie Shari and I ended up sharing a poutine and one of the turkey sandwiches. She said poutine was alright, but seeing as she doesn't really like gravy, it's better than she expected. We had lots of fun at Costco. You guys are silly and sweet. We stayed in Costco long after it had closed...we were trying to get kicked out, but we got bored before that happened.
- I noticed it wasn't raining after dinner, so we dropped the babies off at home, bundled up a little, then headed out to Lights at Lafarge. It was much more enjoyable this time than the last time we went. There were less people, and we didn't have the babies with us, so we could actually walk and take it all in instead of looking for bathrooms and chasing them.
- I think Auntie Shari really liked the lights. She kept saying that grandma would love them. We'll have to get her down here one year to see them!
