soccer at sunrise under stormy skies
I finished off the Annibelle video this morning. I’m really proud of my work. The song is so very beautiful, and the people in the video are so special to me. I may have shed a tear or two as I watched the final result.
George, you were quite subdued today. When I asked you to get ready to go to soccer, you told me you thought you should stay home and have a nap. What? You must really not be feeling well. Daddy stayed home with you and slept the afternoon away.
Lila, when I asked you to get ready, you came out of your room in the ball gown. Mallory gave you a bunch of clothes yesterday, and this was one of them. You’re in love. But of course you were riding your scooter around the soccer field. You wanted to ride your bike, but it was impossible with the big puffy skirt.
Katie, your team won handily, but honestly, it didn’t feel super great. The other team shouldn’t be in that tier. I felt bad for them because they were trying their best, but they just couldn’t do it. At half time, your coach switched everybody’s positions, so the defense were playing up, and the strikers were playing defense. The goalie was playing midfield and someone else covered goal. I’m glad he did that. He’s a nice man.
Katie, the sky was INCREDIBLE at the soccer field. I took far more photos than I should have because the contrast of the flood lights and the dark stormy sky was total eye candy. I’m glad you actually agreed to pause so I could snap a shot of you against that beautiful backdrop.
Daddy and I went on a Pho date tonight. The soup was especially delicious, and the restaurant has been renovated. Perhaps they’re trying to up their game since another awesome Pho place opens up just down the street. Whatever the case, it was extremely satisfying.
Jane, there were leftovers for you guys for dinner, but you didn’t want to eat them, so you ordered pizza for you and your siblings. Very generous of you, and they were very grateful. And I’m grateful because now I can put pizza in everyone’s lunches tomorrow.
