catch up I
- I'm going to try to catch up on the last month or so. We'll see what I can remember...

- Katie, you stayed home from school this morning while I went to an appointment with Jane Jane. I took you for lunch after we got home. It was good to have some alone time with you. You're a treasure Katie Bean. I love you so much. I'm sorry your heart is hurting. Together we will get through this.

- The sun was back today. It was so great. Katie, you had a soccer game out in Langley. We brought the babies so they could run around. They haven't been outside very much lately
- Katie, the ref came and found you after the game to tell you how well you played. I would have to agree. I'm so proud of the hard work you've put in this year.
- George, as soon as the game finished, you rushed onto the field and found Katie. She chased you around and spun you in circles and wrestled with you. You two have a lot of silly fun together...when you're not pestering each other, that is.

- George, your imaginative play is amazing. You bring your Duplo and your little guys with you everywhere we go. You can entertain yourself for hours on end. It's impressive. This is you at the orthodontist's office. The ladies there love you. You're adorable.
- Lila, I gave you some bath salts and you used them right away in the sink. You called me excitedly to the bathroom to show me the "lovely color" and asked me to get my camera and take some photos.

- George, you and I went to HighStreet this morning to meet Auntie Kim for coffee. You're always so patient while we chat.
- Katie, you stayed home from school today to take a day off. You came with me to pick up Yiya. She was totally delighted.
- George, you wanted your hair spiked. You are so frickin cute it hurts.
- We went to the park after school. Jane and Katie, you were less than thrilled about it. Having two sets of kids far apart is pretty tricky sometimes. It's hard to please everyone.

- Lila, you were the special helper today. You were so excited. You wore a special outfit. It was as colorful as you.
- Jane, your science teacher hosted an egg drop today. You designed a contraption out of straws and duct tape. We did a test run off the walkway to the courtyard, and decided it needed more strength, so we fortified it with chopsticks. You took it to school and I took some photos of you outside the school...you really enjoyed that. Ha! Anyway, your egg survived!
- Jane, you wore two left footed flip flops. You didn't realize until we were out and about already. How? Just how?
- I had a haircut today. It's been over two years since it's been cut. I went the SAHM salon in Port Moody saw Vanessa. It felt incredible. So incredible. As soon as they took those ponytails off, I felt lighter and happier. Amazing. It's been a long time coming.
- I donated the hair to Wigs for Children. I hope someone gets a nice long wig.
