summer feet
- I took our library books back today. That's quite a stack of books!
- Lila, I gave you the choice between going to school and coming out to play with Gigi and George. You chose school. Hallelujah! You're finally happy at school. It only took us nine months to get to this point. Last night you told me that school is actually pretty fun and you like it!
- George, we met Sandra and Gigi at a little forest area around Pinetree and Guildford. It was so pretty! I wasn't expecting there to be so many flowers. I'll have to bring Lila here. She'd love it.
- Sandra brought some dino costumes. You tried the Triceratops and Pterodactyl costumes. The costumes are pretty fantastic! They're from Great Pretenders
- George, after we hung out with Gigi and Sandra, we grabbed a quick lunch and went to dad's school to watch his teacher band perform. They did "Livin on a prayer." You're pretty sure it's "Livin' on a Pear." You're so funny.
- At the pep rally, they had a contest to see which team could create the best paper plate hat. Daddy was the chosen teacher to model his team's hat. It was gorgeous.
- George, as we walked to get Lila after school, we noticed the salmon berries were ripening. We decided to go to Mundy Park where there are a ton of salmon berry bushes. We managed to forage a decent snack.
- Lila, you and George were so silly. You played and played and played in the park. You made a secret hideaway. It was pretty great. This is exactly how I wished my kids would play...out in nature, making their own games with their imagination.
- George, your feet were so dirty by the end of the play time, I had to give you a quick bath when we got home. How do you get so dirty? It's awesome.
- Katie, you went to your friend's house after school to hang out. Jane, you walked home from school. Unfortunately, you forgot your keys, so you ended up sitting outside our front door until after 5pm when I arrived with the babies. You weren't super happy about that, especially since your phone died, and you didn't have a charger with you. At least you had wifi as you sat outside the front door!
