gardening
  • Lila, you and I did a little gardening this morning.  You love plants and flowers.  I let you plant a pot all on your own.  You carefully chose your plants and placed them with great care.
  • George and Lila, our neighbor kid came down and asked you to play this morning.  You two were so rude to him.  I was horrified.  I speechified you in your bedroom, then told you to go outside and do some deep thinking and come up with something fun to play with him.  Once you did that, you were to go upstairs, apologize, and ask him to play again.  George, you fulfilled your end of the deal.  Lila, we still have some work to do.
  • Katie and Jane, we went to Krakit with some of the Quebec students (and Tia!).  You guys actually escaped with just three minutes left.  As I waited for you, I could hear you all giggling and screaming.  It was so cute.
  • On our way home we stopped at Como Lake to show Rose the huge Rhododendron bushes there.  They are so spectacular.
  • Annika's family hosted a BBQ.  Her dad is an expert cook and made pulled pork, brisket and chicken.  It was amazing.  Wow.  You kids all took off to play manhunt at the park.  You were gone so much longer than I was expecting.  Jane, you took George with you, and you said that as you were playing and chasing him, your phone fell out of your pocket and shattered.  So sad.  I know the feeling.
  • George, Gerald took you out to the backyard to do some archery.  You loved it.  You thought you were a mighty hunter.
  • Lila, you chose to stay with the adults while the kids were at the park.  You drew some great little pictures.  I love to watch you create.  You're so decisive and focused.
