coffee date
  • George, we went on a coffee date with Kim and baby Audrey this morning.  Kim said she had a little something for me.  I almost fell over when she gave it to me.  It was the camera bag I've been lusting after for quite some time.  I could not even believe my eyes.  What?  Really?  I've been trying to find the courage to buy it for myself, but I always have such a hard time spending money on me.  It was such a thoughtful generous kind gift.  I love it so much.  I'm completely blown away by this incredible gift.  I couldn't even wait to start using it and tested it out while we were still at Starbucks.  I can't believe I don't have a photo of Kim and I, or the bag.  I think I was too stunned!
  • George, you were an interesting coffee date.  Lots of lounging going on.  But you were so patient and let us have a nice visit.
  • Of course, I was delighted to have the chance to snuggle baby Audrey.  She's so snuggly.
  • Lila, you had your kindergarten picnic today after lunch.  Because I'm the class rep, I got to organize it and help set up for it.  You love to help me set everything up.  I can tell that you feel very special to be in the class when everybody else has to be outside.  And you're really helpful too!
  • Katie, I worked this afternoon taking photos for a grade 7 graduation.  You graciously volunteered to babysit for me since your class was just watching a movie this afternoon.  I appreciate your help so much.
  • Jane, you had your last official day of school today.  You had to makeup a math project this morning, then complete the numeracy exam.  You are so happy to be finished...and also a little sad because this is your last day at Charles Best.  You'll be heading to your new school next year which is all kinds of exciting, but it's always hard to close a chapter in your life.
  • Today was my grandma's birthday.  I miss her.  She would have loved you guys so much.
