the tale of a 3rd birthday party

I've gotten worse and worse at planning birthday parties as the years have passed.  But this one topped them all.  When i woke up yesterday, I had no plan, no decorations, no gifts, no food.  I did however have some people coming over to help us celebrate (which as it turns out was the only important thing!).  Thank goodness for my big girls who helped me whip up a birthday party to remember!  We left while she napped and quickly ran out to pick up everything we needed.  Lila woke to find the living room filled with balloons (Jane has some serious balloon blowing talents!), the house decorated and a little stack of gifts.  The Matsuda's came over a little later for some yummy food, lots of giggles and snuggles with the babies.  Happy third birthday to our feisty, fiery little Lila!
