grandma & the babies
  • Lila, this morning around 4am, you woke up and puked your little guts out.  We were tempted to call it the grandma flu, but I'm pretty sure it was just too much excitement on your birthday.  You slept the rest of the night on the couch with daddy.  Your first thought in the morning was your balloons.  Oh man, you love those balloons.  I'm almost (but not quite) over the fact that one of the balloons cost $12.  That was hard for this cheap mama to swallow...however, they are bringing you an immense amount of joy, so I'm glad to see it
  • I'm so pleased I actually got a photo of the four of you together without setting it up.  Lila was drawing a picture for everyone on her new magna doodle
  • George and Lila, we took grandma to Riverview in the afternoon to show her the grounds and blow some bubbles and run around a bit.  The trees there just blow my mind.  Sometimes I wish I could travel back in time and see it when it was in it's glory.  But then again, maybe the appeal is the romanticized ideal I've constructed in my over active imagination
  • Jane and Katie, grandma wanted photos with you after school, so we pulled into the Spani Pool parking lot to take some because George had fallen asleep in his carseat, and we needed to take photos close to where we could park.  You guys are so lucky to have a grandma who treasures you like she does.  I hope you appreciate the love and joy she brings to your lives
  • George, I'm not entirely sure how your feet got so dirty, but boy, were they ever dirty.  I think maybe little boys just attract dirt.  You were with Lila and I all day, yet our feet are perfectly clean
  • Grandma left this evening on the Greyhound bus.  It was sad to see her go.  We had a great little visit
