katie & lila
- Katie, you had soccer today. It was the most miserable day I've experienced in a long long time. The rain poured down, and the wind gusted, sending the drops sideways. There was no way to escape it. My huge soccer mom umbrella didn't protect me at all.
- Lila, for whatever reason, you were adamant that you wanted to come to soccer. And then we got there and you NEEDED your pink flamingo. Daddy and I told you that neither of us was willing to blow it up, but you said you would do it on your own. I didn't bring my camera, but I took some iPhone shots of you with your flamingo. You're ridiculous in the best way.
- George, I asked you if you wanted to come with us, but you said, "I just want to have a quiet day with Jane Jane." So cute.
- We finally took refuge in the baseball dugout even though it wasn't a good vantage point. It was just too cold and wet to not be in a shelter. You girls were frozen. The weirdest thing happened in the middle of the first half. A fist fight! Whaaaaat? It was so surprising. I looked up to see fists flying and arms and legs flailing around.
- After we got home, I got into my bed. I was frozen. Jane, you came and snuggled with me to try to warm me up. Katie, you got in a hot bath and drank hot chocolate in an attempt to return to normal body temperature.
- I made pork roast and mashed potatoes and gravy and veggies for dinner. It was so good. The perfect comfort food for a dark cold wet day like today.
- Katie, you and Lila were giggling and fooling around on the chair beside me as I worked. It was so cute. Lila, once you start laughing, it's hard for you to stop. It's so funny. It makes everyone around you laugh.
