  • Lila, you called me to the living room because you wanted me to take a photo of George because he looked "fantastic" in his Elsa costume.  I would have to agree.
  • I told you I wanted to take you outside for some fresh air.  I thought you would both change, but you decided to wear your costumes.  Lila, you grabbed a scarf to put on your head.  You look like a little peasant girl.  It makes me laugh.
  • I've been eyeing up a little place down by the Coquitlam City Hall.  It's actually just a little piece of half cleared forest beside a park 'n' ride parking lot, but it has always intrigued me.  I've included a couple pull backs of the location, because from the photos it appears you are in the middle of a huge forest...but we're just in the middle of a busy part of our city.
  • You both packed a bag of stuffies as well as a blanket and snacks for a picnic.   Your picnic was lovely, then quickly turned to wrestling, then pouting, then back to fun.
  • Lila, you found a flower and picked it.  You smelled it, and apparently it was pretty gross, which cracked you up.  I love all your facial expressions.
  • Daddy and I went for a pho date today.  Our time spent alone together is an important part of our relationship and hence, an important part of our family.  If we didn't have those couple hours every week to tune into each other, I think our friendship wouldn't be nearly as strong.  The more time we spend together, the more time we want to spend together.  This is a good thing because when you guys are gone, we're going to be alone for the first time in many many years, so if we don't keep up our relationship, it's going to be a painful time for us.
  • Jane, after dinner daddy and I were talking in the kitchen.  You came in and asked us how we can tell whether a person doesn't care, or is just dumb.  Hahaha.  Nice question.  It was the start of a very entertaining and interesting conversation about different kinds of smart and the people around us.  Turns out everyone in our life is quite brilliant at something.  You spoke about your grade seven teacher Ms Ruhr.  You still admire and love her so much.  As far as interpersonal connections goes, she's the smartest person you've ever met in your life.  She has such a gift for truly seeing and hearing and enjoying people for their real selves.  You're so fortunate to have her as an example of love and caring.
