too hot
- Jane, you had another appointment with Dr. Bradshaw this morning. You did more "strength training" for your brain. I was a little frazzled this morning. I took Katie to school, then George to Auntie Georgia's, then Lila to school before heading out to Langley. We arrived at Dr. Bradshaw's office and I discovered I didn't have my purse. I hoped I had left it at Auntie Georgia's and not one of the schools. I called her, and sure enough it was sitting outside her front door on the bench. Sheesh. I'm such an airhead sometimes. Thankfully Dr. Bradshaw was pretty understanding and said I can pay next time.
- Jane, we had planned on getting some poutine after your appointment, but since I didn't have any money, we had to scrap that plan. I joked that I was going to ask Dr. Bradshaw for a few bucks. Lol.
- George, you found your Christmas present this morning. I've been doing an awful job of hiding the presents this year. You were pretty excited. It's the Guardians of the Galaxy action figure set. You've been drooling over it at Costco for quite some time. I managed to distract you, then move it up onto a high shelf in Daddy's closet. You went back to the spot where you saw it, and discovered it was gone. We somehow managed to convince you that Santa had come back to our house and picked it up so he can surprise you on Christmas morning. You totally bought it. Phew.
- George, you had a great time with Auntie Georgia. You watched Guardians of the Galaxy. She said you were starting to get pretty silly and were crawling over to her and licking her ankles. How do kids come up with these ideas? She grabbed you and was going to lick you but ended up licking your eye. You thought it was so great. You're so weird.
- Lila, when you play, you like to take your boots and socks off. You say you're too hot, but I think you just like the traction your bare feet give you when you climb. It was actually pretty cold today and I don't know how you play on that metal equipment without freezing your little feet off.
- Jane, you're really worried about net neutrality today. The FCC in the States is taking a vote tomorrow whether or not to repeal net neutrality. I'm trying to convince you not to worry too much about it, but you're really concerned. So tonight I'm going to do some research so I can have an intelligent informed discussion with you. From what I understand at this point, nothing would happen immediately, but I suppose it could be the start of a slippery slope.
