walk in the woods

• We had planned on leaving for 100 Mile this morning, but daddy was sick during the night, so we decided to postpone our trip for one day.  
• Jane and Katie, you were overjoyed because you've been dying to have a quiet day at home with nothing to do.  You both retreated to your room and did whatever it is you do in there.  I didn't see much of you all day.  You kind of came out to grab some food here and there.
• George, you were busy busy busy all day playing with your new Guardians of the Galaxy toys.  
• Lila,  you and I were bored.  Plain and simple.  We like to be busy and around people and out and about.  We decided to do some errands.  Your little fingerling toy needed new batteries and we had to pick something up at Auntie Georgia's.  Then we went to Costco to do some shopping for stuff to take up to 100 Mile.  
• You love going to Costco with me.  We shopped and looked around at stuff, then had a hotdog for lunch.  You're a delightful date.
• As we drove home past the forest it looked so pretty, we decided to go for a little walk.  The snow is still on the trees, the lake is frozen and everything looks pretty magical.  We ran around and explored and cracked frozen puddles.
• Lila, I love your outfit today.  You wore your new socks with such pride and excitement. You're a colorful little soul.
