let it be
- George, when you woke up and came to find me this morning, I was getting ready and listening to music. One of my favorite songs came on just as I picked you up. We danced and snuggled. It was so nice. Jane came in and took a photo for me
- Lila, you find it pretty difficult to wake up. You stumbled out of bed and into Jane's lap where you had a nice long cuddle and eased yourself into the day
- Jane, I love to see how you love the babies. You seem to have a special bond with Lila, and it's lovely to watch
- George, there are two reasons I love that you dress yourself:
1 - It's one less thing for me to do in the morning
2 - I get to enjoy the choices you make
Your outfit today was awesome. Also, I looks like I need to clean out your drawers and move you up to the next size. Lol - George, you're working hard on learning to tie your shoes. You can do the knot, but the bow is a work in progress
- Katie, you had another orthodontist appointment today. Everything is set and we're ready to start on the road to straight teeth. The babies are so good with getting dragged around going to appointments and practices with us. Waiting rooms are like a second home to them
- George and Lila, I can hear my voice coming out of your little mouths all the time. Good stuff. You got stamps at the orthodontist. As you showed each other what you got, this was your conversation: "Yiya, wook at my stamp!" "It's so wovewy George" "Sanks Yiya. Yours is so wovewy too"
- Lila, as you laid down for your nap, you told me, "You and daddy are made of love for each other"
- Katie, today you experienced a big disappointment. When we got home from school Jane took the babies upstairs and you and I sat in the garage and chatted. I asked if you would be my baby just for a moment, and you climbed into my lap and folded your body into mine, and had a big cry. I loved holding you. Even though you're taller than me, and your legs stretched out for about a mile to the side of me, you're still my baby. When you finished, you straightened yourself up and decided to move forward. I'm so proud of you. You always get to choose what you do with disappointment. You can sink into resentment and anger, or you can use it to motivate you to make changes. Love you Katie Bean!
