let it go
  • I kicked butt today.  George and Lila, I got your room decluttered and organized.  I was pleasantly surprised by how many toys you voluntarily put into the donate box.  I got rid of almost half of your things, and you were totally fine with it.  I feel like I can breath again.  I really hate clutter.  I feel suffocated by it, and my mind feels scattered.  It's amazing how fast things accumulate.  I have a hard time imagining living in a bigger space and knowing that things were lurking in closets and basements and attics.  One of the blessings of living in a small space is the conscious addition of items to our home, and the need to constantly be getting rid of stuff.  I'm looking for an armoire for your room so we can get rid of your two dressers and free up some space for a little reading area in your room
  • Lila, we went out to the store in the evening and you changed into your Elsa dress for the outing. After we arrived home you asked if we could take some photos in the garage.  Hey...you don't have to ask me twice!  You were adorable.  You were flinging your dress and jumping so it would look like the wind was blowing it.  I told you I might be able to add some snow and magic on the computer and you were completely delighted
  • Katie Bean, you worked so hard tonight.  Without soccer, your evenings are so long!  You cleaned under the kitchen appliances which is no easy job.  I can't believe how much stuff was under there.  George was pretty stoked though because you found two of his long lost ninjas under the stove
  • Jane, I love you.  I'm always going to show up for you.  Every.  Single.  Time.
