happy mother's day!
  • So, today was mother's day.  We have two traditions.  One is eggs benedict for breakfast.  The other is photos with me.  Daddy takes care of the breakfast.  I take care of the photos.  I had a hard time deciding on the location this year for some reason, but then thought about the garage. I've been completely addicted to shooting in the garage the last few months, so it seemed fitting.  Also, the weather looked iffy, and it's really hard to get everyone ready and out the door for photos, so sticking close to home was appealing.
  • I opened the garage door, then set the camera on a tripod and put a little bench just inside the garage.  It was a total gong show.  George, you were not interested in sitting still or cooperating.  There was a lot of wrangling and pleading going on.  Daddy has minimal involvement in the picture taking.  For the sake of our marriage, I use a remote to take the photos myself...and this has been learned through many attempts at daddy taking the photos, all of which didn't end well.  :)
  • I treasure these photos of me with each of you.  I love you as a group, but I really really really love you as individuals.  I've been blessed with four incredible little humans.  Imagine that!  Four!  I always hoped for lots of kids, and here I am, living my dream.
  • You all made me cards.  They're amazing.  I forgot to photograph them today, but I'll do that tomorrow and add them.
