daddy's home!
- George, you wear mismatched shoes every time I ask you to get shoes on by yourself. I still don't know if it's a form or self expression, indecision, or laziness. Whatever the case, it's pretty cute
- Lila and George, we went to Mundy Park to play hockey in the lacrosse box. You were both all kinds of miserable. It was cold and wet. You were fighting non stop. I decided to cut my losses and head home after a short time out. I promised you a nice warm bath, because usually some warm water and bubbles solve all the worlds problems
- George, as I was getting the bath ready, I noticed that your hair really needed a trim. I decided to give you a quick cut before your bath. You were excited to see the results, and ran over to the mirror to check it out. You saw your reflection and stopped dead. You put your hands on your head and stared in disbelief. Then yelled, "THIS IS NOT GOOD AND HANDSOME!!!!!!! I. WANT. MY. HAIR. BACK!!!!!!!!!" Then you burst into tears. I was so surprised. I had no idea you cared what your hair looked like. Maybe this is your last mommy haircut?
- I texted auntie Kim and told her the sad story of your haircut and sent a picture. She texted back that you looked like a ninja. You were pretty pleased to hear that, and thought that maybe your hair wasn't so bad after all
- Katie, after school you asked me if I was excited about our party tomorrow, or as you put it, "a gathering of old people." Cheeky little gal
- We spent a while playing in the garage after school. Lila, you were so happy to see daddy when he arrived home after work. You love your daddy
- Lila, you decorated the piano for Katie. She loves it :)
