through the buttercups
- Lila and George, you have been playing with George's hockey guys non stop. Lila, you have Sedin, and George, you have Crosby. Today, you were covering them in dirt and then brushing them off with a feather you found.
- We played in Mundy Park in the little overflow parking lot behind the Spani Pool. There was a field full of buttercups, but of course, you preferred to play in the pile of dirt in the parking lot instead of the flowers. It's so funny. Finally at the end of our time, when it started to rain, you started playing in the flowers and I was able to get some shots of you in the beautiful blooms
- We went to Strong Start this morning. I still struggle with the idea of structured learning for little ones, but I'm coming to terms with the fact that you need to be exposed to that environment to succeed in Kindergarten. You love Strong Start. Lila, you made a friend today. You played together in the gym passing a beach ball back and forth. George, you have no interest in anyone there...only me and Lila. You two both participate so enthusiastically in the circle time. It brings me a great amount of joy watching you truly enjoy something so simple with all your hearts
- I was super tired today, so I put a movie on for you and laid down for just a brief moment...and woke up an hour later. It was eerily quiet. George and Lila, I found you in the kitchen. You had gotten containers and put flour in them, then added all the glitter you could find in our entire house. I was impressed by your creativity and responsibility. The mess wasn't even all that bad. And you were DELIGHTED with yourselves and your great idea
- Jane, you've been doing so well with earning back your privileges, that we decided to surprise you and let you go to Tia's spring choir concert. You were so pleased. Tia was so happy to have you there, especially since you weren't able to make it to her play. I'm glad you have a friend who means so much to you, and I'm also glad to see you working so hard to earn everything back. You're doing good kid, keep it up!
- Katie, you hate your Wednesday evening technical practices. You dread going to them and always beg me to let you stay home. However, once you're there, and you see your friends and start playing soccer, you totally light up. I love watching you play
