- Jane, you had your first day of summer vacation today. You worked your butt off cleaning and organizing. I'm starting to run out of ideas for you guys. There aren't many more things to clean. We finally got the baby's shoe situation sorted out. They have an insane amount of shoes
- It really felt like summer today! We got the sprinkler out in the afternoon and you guys played for over two hours
- George, you wanted to go upstairs in the elevator by yourself to get a snack. You were fine on the way up, but on the way back down, you didn't know what button to press, and ended up going to the garage instead of the second floor. I could hear you crying, so I was trying to talk to you through the elevator. Lila was so scared. She burst into tears and was saying "I want my Georgie." Within a minute, you were back with us, but oh my gosh, the two of you were so sad. Lila, you gave George a speech. "Georgie, next time you need to use the elevator, I better go with you because you're so little and you don't know which buttons to press and I'm really big and I know. George, I was very scared." And George, you were like, "Ya Yiya, I was very scared too. I wanted you so bad." Then you sat and ate your little snack and talked about the whole ordeal. You held hands and hugged. Lila, you were patting his head and rubbing his back. Finally after you had talked it out, George, you announced, "Yiya, you made me happy!!!! I'm ready to play now." And then you guys got back to running through the sprinkler. I almost died from the cuteness of it all. You two really are the best of friends
- Katie, you had three friends over after school for a end of the year poutine party. You have such a nice little group of friends. I'm really happy for you, and I'm delighted that you invited them as you've been pretty shy about having people over for a while. You ate mountains of poutine, walked to the park to hang out and giggled down in the courtyard together. Jane joined you and she had a great time too! So nice to see
