sisters & sunshine

- Jane, today was your last day of school. We're all super ready for school to be over. I love the lunch you packed for yourself. A big bag of salt and vinegar chips
- Lila, you have a cold. Today you asked me "Why do I have a cold? Why do I have germs? What do germs look like? I want to see what the germs do in my body." We watched a couple videos on YouTube and you were fascinated. You love that scientific stuff. After you had your fill of germ videos, you watched a few fetal development videos. You still can't get enough of those
- I had to do a big Costco shop today. It's a big project. George and Lila, shopping was the last thing you needed today. You both really need a quiet day at home, but we had run out of some staples, so we had to go today. You guys get really hyper and crazy when you're tired. Being out in public with you was an adventure, that's for sure
- Jane, it was a lovely evening, and I actually convinced you to come to Katie's soccer practice with me. We walked all around Town Centre Park and enjoyed the warm air and the beautiful golden light. We talked about all kinds of things. Relationships, romance, sex, drugs, suicide, self harm etc. I like your openness and thoughtful conversations
- Lila, you wanted to come with us to soccer as well, and changed into your Elsa dress once again. You just love to dress up and take on different characters. We had a little ice-cream treat at the park
