piano recital

• I am so pleased with myself today.  I got our little tiny deck all set up for summer.  We got a super great deal on a couch with two ottomans and a coffee table.  It has totally transformed our deck into another useable space, which I have a feeling will be greatly appreciated in the coming months.  Small space living has pros and cons, but I always find the summers tricky with all of us home together 24/7 for two months
• Jane, you stayed overnight with Tia last night.  We were so excited to show you the deck when you got home
• Daddy and I went for a pho date this afternoon.  We've missed the last couple weeks because of activities and extra stuff happening.  Maybe because it was 30 degrees today, we were the only people in the whole place.  It was great to sit and chat about life.  We're going to miss each other this week.  I'm leaving on Tuesday with all of you kids to drive to Calgary and Daddy will fly in on Friday.  I'm so excited to go on a little road trip with you.  We're currently working on a kick ass playlist with everyone's favorites
• This afternoon, I donated an entire van load of stuff.  Mostly toys and clothes.  I LOVE LOVE LOVE decluttering and clearing space
• Katie, we went shopping this afternoon.  You needed a pair of shorts and I needed to get some pillows for our outdoor couch.  We always have a fun time shopping.  Lila came with us and the three of us giggled our way through Winners and Home Sense.  You got a pair of cut offs and a little black romper that is all kinds of cute
• Katie, you had your end of the year piano recital this evening.  It was sooooo warm tonight, and it was really hot in that church.  However, it was all worth it to hear you play.  You sounded so confident.  You've done really well with piano this year
• George, during the recital you really wanted to sit with "Kay-Beanie" who was sitting over with the performers.  As soon as Katie had played her pieces, you ran over to her and sat with her the rest of the recital.  I was watching you two.  You were holding hands and snuggling while listening to the other kids playing
