• Today we embarked on our first road trip of the summer.  But before we left, we stopped in to watch daddy and his teacher band play for an assembly at school.  We actually did surprise him this time (for real).  We saw Jim there and he helped sneak us in.  It was fun to watch and even more fun to surprise him
• George and Lila, you didn't recognize daddy.  Even after having seen him a couple weeks ago, you didn't know which one was "Ina"
• George, I'm still taking photos of you in all the spots I put you in to calm down.  I have quite a collection.  Today was Costco.  You didn't want to sit in the cart...you wanted to "skateboard" along the side of it.  We've tried that before and it never ends well
• On our way to Calgary, we stopped in Kelowna to spend a couple days with grandma.  Katie, you love being with your cousins.  It means a lot to you to see family.  I love seeing how happy you are when we visit
• As is the custom, I stayed up too late talking and snacking and playing games with Auntie Shari, Auntie Jenny and Grandma.  It's fun.  I'm trying to talk Auntie Kim and her mom into going to Kelowna for a weekend.  I'll keep working on her until she finally does it just to shut me up
