kitchen helper

• Well, I finally took my snow tires off today.  Once again, my procrastination is driving me crazy.  I can't believe I left them on this long.  And then only thing that really kicked me into gear was the fact that we're leaving for our SUMMER vacation tomorrow.  Sheesh
• Jane, you did all the laundry today.  THANK YOU.  Getting everything done and everyone packed for a week away is a lot of work, but you cut my job in half.  I appreciate it immensely...especially since it was a mountain of laundry.  I was wondering how I would get it all done
• Jane, because you did all my laundry, I had extra time on my hands.  I used it wisely.  I got to talk on the phone to some of my favorite people.  I talked to Auntie Kim, Auntie Becca and Grandma.  It was a luxury to be able to connect with so many people all in one day
• George and Lila, you "helped" me make a big batch of pizza buns today.  They were for dinner, and the leftovers are for our trip.  They're a perfect thing to freeze and pack for later.  I use my cinnamon bun dough recipe, and after I roll it out, I spread pizza sauce and pepperoni.  Then I roll them up, cut them and put them in a pan.  Then top them with a hearty amount of cheese.  They're a family favorite.  I'll post the dough recipe so we don't ever lose it
• Katie, you were obsessed with finding an iPod case this evening.  I took you out, but no luck.  We did, however find fans, so of course, we bought one for everyone.  They may come in very handy at Uncle Danny's wedding.  Lila, you're so delighted with your fan, you slept with yours and talked to me seriously about buying one for Georgie tomorrow because you're pretty sure he's going to think they're amazing and want one too
• Lila, you asked me if I would join you on the deck to sit and relax and "enjoy the sky."   You don't have to ask me twice.  You also convinced daddy and Jane to join us.  We had a lovely time out on the deck chatting and enjoying the sky
