7-eleven day
- Jane, you got your resume together today and made a list of the places you'd like to work along the bus route. We printed off five resumes and headed out. You only wanted to do five today because you were feeling pretty anxious about the whole thing. I can relate. I totally remember my first attempts at applying for jobs. It's excruciating.
- After we finished our task, we went to 7-Eleven for our free Slurpee. The place was packed and the floor was sticky. We sat next door and drank ours because I have a hard time driving and drinking or eating. We were talking about the Mortified series on Netflix and laughed so hard. It's such a funny show, but also heart warming and endearing. We both enjoyed it immensely.
- Katie you went out with your friends this morning to get your free Slurpee. You met up with them then took the bus there and back. Your friends take the bus all the time, so it's nice that they're showing you the ropes.
- George and Lila, you hung out at home and played and played and played. Your imaginative play is incredible. It's really amazing to watch you in your great dramas. The piano is playing a role in your story somehow, but daddy and I can't quite figure it out. We think you're playing music to go along with what's happening. You're using the lower half when it's bad and scary and the higher notes when it's happy and good. Like you're writing your own score to accompany your story.
- Lila, I love seeing your little art works all over the place. You're non-stop with your drawing and writing.
- George, you're so silly. You were getting dad to smell your stinky socks tonight and got such a kick out of it.
- My brain still does not comprehend that we don't have a kitty anymore. I still checked for her before I close the deck door, and looked at her (non existent) dish to make sure she had food. I miss her.
