big sister & little sister
Today was the day I’ve been waiting for for a loooooooong time! I got to meet little Annibelle. I left Vancouver very early this morning. I had big plans for the wait at the airport. I was going to arrive early, check in and then get a Starbucks coffee and sit. Just sit. All by myself. Myself and nobody else. It was a glorious dream. It didn't exactly work out. I got there early but the line up for the security way crazy. I barely made it through that line up in time to board my flight. I did grab a coffee though. But there was a miracle! I was the only person in my row on the plane, so I still got to sit by myself and drink my coffee in peace.
The three Matsuda’s picked me up at the airport and I got to sit in the back beside Annibelle. She was even sweeter than I had imagined.
We hung out and I held that baby as much as they would let me.
Dareian came over after work. I fully blame Dareian for my love of babies. She was the first baby I ever loved. And then as a toddler she was pure magic. She ruined me for life.
As usual, when Auntie Missy’s in town, we get a little crazy with photos. Uncle Danny and I rented a lighting kit, and I rented a macro lens. We got everything set up so that tomorrow we can get busy photographing that sweet little baby.
Lila, we Facetimed this evening, and you were pretty teary and sad. Your main complaint was that I left without saying goodbye. I tried to tell you that it was too early to wake you (4am!) but you weren’t buying it. You said it was rude and not very nice.
