apple crisp
Today was the first day back to school. It was a tough morning. Lila, I had to wake you up about five times. Every time I’d try, you’d yell something incoherent, roll over and pull the blankets over your head. It made me laugh. I wish I had taken a video of it. You’re most definitely not a morning person.
George, you were dragging for a while, but by the time we got to school, you were excited to be back.
I was delighted to have everyone back at school. Ahhhhh. Sweet silence. I worked on my camera club stuff today. I really enjoy writing the presentations. I love doing the research, creating a concise easy to understand lesson, and then finding supporting photographs to demonstrate the different concepts. I like it because I always learn something. Even if it’s something I might have known before, teaching always makes me think through the concepts very intentionally so I can relate the information to a beginner. Such a great exercise.
Katie, you were feeling bored tonight, and we just happened to have an extra bag of apples in the fridge, so I convinced you to make apple crisp for us. Our little home smelled like heaven. By the time it was ready, we were all drooling in anticipation.
Auntie Kim made me oven mitts for Christmas. Sushi oven mitts. I love them so much.
