Jane, you and Zeustopher sat by my desk and did homework while I did some work. Jane, you look so pretty today. You wore a “50’s housewife” outfit with red lips and a scrunchie. You said you got a ton of compliments on the bus.
Today is my birthday. I’m 44 years old. Sometimes I’m surprised when I calculate my age because I actually feel about twice that age. I went to work this morning and my coworkers threw a little party for me. Then came home and hung out with everyone and ordered an early dinner of pizza from Pizza Hut (my current fave). Then I opened my gifts. Mint chocolate from Purdy’s from Jane, Doritos from Katie, George and Lila, and surprise…a fog machine! Lol. Lila, I must have said something at Halloween about a fog machine, and you being the thoughtful little girl you are, remembered and reminded dad many many times.
Jane, you and dad and the babies left for the Christmas concert at the school, and I drove Katie and Sara to their soccer party. I came home to a delightfully quiet house. I decided to play with my fog machine a bit. The good news is that it really pumps the fog out. The bad news is that our house thought it was on fire, and I had a hard time turning the smoke alarms off. Lol. I then moved it outside, with greater success. Although I wondered if perhaps the neighbors might see the fog billowing out of our yard and carport and think our house was burning down.
When everyone came home, we had a little dance party on the patio in the fog, and because it’s birthday, I made you stay for pictures.
Thank you everyone for a lovely birthday. I love you guys.
