christmas concert
George and Lila, you had your dress rehearsal for your Christmas concert today. There is a two ticket per family rule, so we decided daddy and Jane would watch the performance tomorrow, and I would leave work early and go to the dress rehearsal with Auntie Georgia today.
George, you have been telling me about the “stupid fabric things” you wear, and when your class walked into the gym, I understood what you meant. Your class performed the Drummer Boy. It was an original interpretation.
Lila, I didn’t hear much about what you were going to perform. Your class performed A Space Odyssey on boom whackers. I have to say, it was a surprising combination. My favorite part of you being on stage was the cute little shy/pleased/excited/nervous smiles you would throw our way whenever we made eye contact. You’re adorable.
Auntie Georgia came back to the house and stayed for dinner. She brought me cards for my birthday and our anniversary. How does she always manage to be so thoughtful???
