yiya in the carport (...by herself)
(anyone who knew me in the summer of 2017, will be able to sing that title…LOL)
George and Lila, I came downstairs this morning to find the two of you playing chess in the glow of the Christmas tree, like the little geniuses you are. You’re a little fuzzy on the rules, but you look pretty clever in pictures. Lol.
I played with my fog machine again this afternoon. I really want to use it in the sunshine, but since we’re in short supply of that, I settled for the motion lights in the carport. It was pretty cool.
I’m obsessed with Zeus. I can’t stop studying him and all the different shapes and sizes and types of scales he has on his body. I got my macro filters out today and took advantage of him sitting so peacefully on the back of the chair in my room. What a fascinating creature!
Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary. Daddy is always so tired and burnt out by the time he gets to winter break, we didn’t make any big plans to celebrate. We did end up going out for dinner though. Jane, you and Zack babysat for us. You bought pie and ice cream for the babies. It was very sweet.
It’s amazing that we’ve been married that long. 23 years. I was only 21 years old when we tied the knot. Imagine that. I was just a child. What were we thinking? Ahahaha. I know exactly what we were thinking. We were so crazy in love and couldn’t wait to start a new life together. And after all these years, four kids, lots of ups and downs, I still love daddy as much as ever. Actually, even more. There’s something magical about love that stands the test of time. I hope each of you gets to experience that kind of love in your life.
