day 3 : 69 days of summer
George, you're still getting up at the crack of dawn. You and I spend a couple hours outside before anyone else even wakes up. It’s hard to comprehend how much energy you have. You ride your bike, kick your soccer ball around, help me in the garden and chat endlessly.
We went for a walk down to the school playground. There was a new table installed with a checkers board, so we sat down to play. We used wood chips vs rocks. Very intense games.
Zeus came with us. He was super chill the entire time. I think he may be starting to brumate again. He’s been so sleepy and staying in his hide for much of the day.
Lila, you’ve been saving up for an iPad for a long time now, and today was the day!!! We went to the bank to deposit your remaining cash. You had been stashing it in a sliced peach jar, which you proudly handed to the cashier. It was adorable. I’m so proud of your determination and focus. That was a lot of money to save!
Daddy got his second Covid vaccine today. He is so tired of everything related to Covid, he almost didn’t want to go. He said the vaccination center was super busy. It’s nice to know everybody is still invested in getting vaccinated and doing their part. I’m getting my second dose on Sunday.
