day 5 : 69 days of summer
G & G came over for brunch today. We were given four dozen peaches yesterday, so I made peach breakfast cake and dices peaches to go along with it. A little yogurt and orange juice, and we had a nice little summer patio breakfast.
After we ate we headed over to the pool for a couple hours. Grandma got to meet some of our lovely neighbors and rest on the patio while you played. We really do live in the best little community.
Daddy found grandpa Ted’s old hat that he used wear back in the 70’s. He decided it’s going to be his new summer hat…and it fits the whole mountain man thing dad has going on.
I got my second vaccine this afternoon. I am so impressed with the vaccination center. Extremely organized, and everyone working there is kind and friendly. I’m really hoping the vaccines work to keep Covid under control so we can continue on with getting back to “normal”
I met Uncle Luke at the John B pub on Austin for a beer and a visit. We had a good talk. We used to see each other so much, but we all got busy and life got complicated. I’m hoping to refresh our friendship and get to know each other again.
Katie, you’ve been mad at me for the last couple days. We finally made up. Thank god. I miss you when you’re not bugging me. You’re my little buddy.
