fall leaves

fall leaves
  • Ian, I don't know how (or why) you do this, but you slept in your jacket last night.  It's so weird.
  • Lila, you were still fussing about your loose tooth when you woke up, and suggested we try tying it to the door.  We attempted it, but it didn't work. You still won't let someone get in there and yank it out.
  • Lila, you wore Georgie's Christmas pajamas to school today.  They're a size too small and quite loud, but you were super pleased with your look.
  • The sunrises have been exceptional this week.  I need to take it all in before the weather changes and we don't see the sun for weeks on end.
  • Lila, I picked you up at noon so we could go to a park and play.  I chose Town Centre Park because I was there yesterday and I knew that there were tons of leaves on the ground. You guys had a blast.
  • Lila, you asked if you could pick a flower, and I said yes.  You tugged on it, and pulled out the entire plant including the roots.  You laughed and laughed.   Then you asked if you could bring it home and plant it.  Sure...why not?
  • George, you were adorable in your ninja costume.  You asked  me a few times to take photos of  you doing your ninja moves.
  • Everything was going great at the park...until it wasn't.  I ended up packing you up and bringing you home and tucking you into your beds around 2:30.  You were both miserable.
  • Jane, you and I went shopping again this afternoon.  I can't believe it's this hard to find a bra for you.  We've shopped everywhere and tried on soooooo many.  We did find one today, but it cost $120 and I'm just not willing to pay that much.
  • Katie, you babysat for me while Jane and I were out.  The babies were sleeping, so it was a pretty easy job.  Daddy got home just after five and they were still snoozing.  He went in and woke them and said that Lila was really really really hard to rouse.  I'm glad they had a good rest because tomorrow is going to be a big day for them.
  • Jane, you and I went to see Jayeson this afternoon.  I'm glad you and I are doing this together.  I'm here for you Jane.  Always.
  • We sent daddy out to buy pumpkins this evening.  I'm not exactly sure why I always forget about getting pumpkins until the night before halloween.  Luckily he found some at Save-On.  Daddy is our "expert" pumpkin carver.  It's always been his job.  George and Lila, you guys were completely delighted with his skills.  Jane, you carved your own this year.  Katie, you drew the design and dad carved it for you.
