stride
- Katie, you have the longest stride I've ever seen. When you step on the gas, it's almost impossible for anyone to get past you.
- Katie, you're feeling discouraged at soccer. You're dying to move to midfield, but your team really need you on defense, so you've been stuck there all season. Keep working kid, and you'll get your chance. Use this time as an opportunity to prepare and train hard so when the time comes, you can prove yourself.
- Lila, you ran around and around the track while Katie played and I timed you with my stopwatch.
- George, I asked if you wanted to come to soccer with us, but you said you just wanted to have a quiet day with Jane Jane. You're pretty cute sometimes.
- Grandma called with some pretty sad news today. Belle's back legs have become paralyzed. It started slowly on Wednesday and has progressively gotten worse. They took her to the vet, and they really don't know what happened. They're going to try a course of medication that could improve it, so hopefully that will work. Belle is such a nice doggy and she's only six. I hope she recovers.
- Uncle Mark and Auntie Cindy had their annual Christmas party last night, but I'm not feeling well so I couldn't go. I love their parties, so I was pretty bummed out. Daddy took the four of you while I finished up the Christmas shopping on Amazon. I suppose it worked out for the best, although I was sad to miss it.
