evening run
- I took a few days off from taking photos. I have strep AGAIN and I'm not feeling well. I'm trying to learn what self care looks/feels like. Rest is not easy for me
- Lila, this morning you stormed out of your bedroom and were yelling something or other about your hair, then stomped into the bathroom and got a brush. You made daddy brush it. You weren't happy, but oh my gosh, you made us laugh. That pout. That face
- George, you were so sad when I laundered your bum-bum (blankie). Every time I clean it, I lie to you so that you'll let me put in the washer without too much of a fuss. I carry a small amount of guilt about it. Usually I tell you that someone spilled some sort of yucky thing on it and then you're fine with me washing it. However, today, you weren't buying any of that. You stood at the washer and cried softly as you watched it go around and around
- Lila, for some reason, you changed into a bathing suit midday. You're working hard on your spit bubbles. I'm so proud of you?
- I ended up taking everyone (except Jane) to Katie's soccer practice. I was a glorious spring evening. Warm and sunny. It felt so good. We ran and played and rode our bikes and scooters
- Lila, I'm not super sure why you were wearing only one of my long socks, but hey, what ever makes you happy. You're getting really good at printing, and you wrote your name in chalk everywhere you could. I love watching your little mind explode with new knowledge
- George, as we were leaving, you fell and scraped both your little knees. Thank goodness I carry a billion band-aids with me everywhere we go. Band-aids make everything better
- Lila, after we fixed up Georgie's ouchies, we got to the van and then you fell and scraped both of your legs. Again, good thing I've always got band-aids. Going anywhere with you guys is always an adventure
