visit at uncle luke's office

• Katie, today you cashed in your birthday date with Auntie Georgia.  She picked you up and you went for a movie (Despicable Me) and Pho.  You were so excited to spend some special time with just the two of you.
• George and Lila, the three of us went downtown on the skytrain to visit Uncle Luke.  Today marks the ten year anniversary of Kazuo's death.  In some ways it feels like yesterday, and some times it feels like a lifetime ago.  Uncle Luke doesn't really talk about his feelings.  I gave him some flowers and a hug.  I just wanted him to know that I was thinking of him.  Kazuo's death was a defining moment in my life.  I love him.  Always will.
• Uncle Luke took you to the copy room and photocopied your hands.  You thought it was pretty great.  Classic office trick.
• We walked around downtown for a bit, but you guys were so crazy, I decided to go home.  You were wrestling and hyper and insane.
• Lila, you finally calmed down when we got back on the skytrain and laid down and had a little rest.  You're so cute.
