• Lila, you didn't want to go to school today, plus you have a cough, so I decided to keep you home.  We dropped the girls off at school then went down to Colony Farms to play for a while.
• The spider webs are amazing this time of year.  They're everywhere and covered in morning dew, and then with that autumn light shining through them, I find them magical.
• Katie, you had friends over after school.  I'm so delighted that you're inviting your friends into our home.  I love having them here.  I'd love to have them every week for dinner.  I hope you always feel welcome to have your friends here.
• Jane, we went to the doctor today because you have some odd spots on your back.  Turns out to be something quite harmless.  A little lotion and it'll all be good.  We've been to Dr. Chang several times over the last couple weeks...more than we have been in the last couple years.
