little goalie

• We had a quiet day today.  Dareian and Shayna went downtown to walk the Sea Wall.  I didn't go because I'm just too old to be busy busy busy every day.
• When they returned, we went to the rink to see the Matsudas.  George, Mattias let you try on his goalie gear.  I have never seen a little boy more delighted.  The sparkle in your eyes was bright, and you had a perma-smile.  You were pretty sure you had transformed into Carey Price.
• Lila, you worked pretty hard at getting daddy to buy you a treat from the vending machine.  Well, actually, you didn't have to try that hard...he's pretty much wrapped around your little finger.
• We had yet another editing party.  But this time we made bacon wrapped jalapeño poppers.  Holy smokes.  Were they ever good.
