location scouting
George, I kept you home from kindergarten today because you’ve been showing signs of being tired and overwhelmed. You’ve been really irritable and cranky in the evenings, which isn’t like you. We dropped Lila off at school, then set off on our own adventure. We went to Town Centre park and checked out the gardens and the fall colors. Then we went to the Stadium to play soccer together. I taught you how to do a throw in and a drop kick. I, myself, was surprised that I knew how to do either one of them, but I guess all these years of watching soccer games has taught me a think or two.
George, you helped me figure out some spots to take photographs on the weekend. I have an extended family shoot coming up that’s really important to me and I’m determined to find the right location for it. I was looking for lush greenery, flowers and fall colors. I managed to find all three in one place.
Lila, you had early dismissal today, so George and I picked you up at 1:45. I thought you would want to play at the playground, but you just wanted to come home, which was fine with me because I got to lay down and have a little nap while you guys watched a movie.
George and Lila, you came along with me on a client meeting to scope out a place for her family photos. I had to bribe you with ice-cream to get a photo, but it did the trick :)
Jane, you had stage craft, then work tonight. You’re a busy little gal. You told me that next week you’re scheduled for 24 hours. I’m hoping you’ll pull back on your work hours pretty soon.
Katie, you’re so quiet lately! I communicate with you mostly through text. Even when you’re home, we text each other. I wonder what’s happening in that beautiful head of yours? What’s going on in your life? What are you thinking about?
