George and Lila, when we dropped Jane off at work this morning, we decided to take a look at the backpack and lunch box options they had. You both found the perfect one. I also treated each of you to a new little stuffy to take to school with you incase you missed mommy. George, you chose a koala, and Lila, you chose a little penguin (who you named Pepper).
I’ve missed taking pictures of you guys. Before we took Katie to soccer, I asked you to dress very beautifully. Lila, you decided on a simple black dress with kitty ears and pretty sandals. George, you came out of your room in one of your “handsome shirts” and a bowtie. Ohmygosh. You are so stinkin’ cute. We dropped Katie off at Town Centre, then went to the community gardens there. I really love these gardens. They’re full of interesting plants and flowers, and it’s always impeccably maintained.
After we had a thorough look at the garden, we headed back to Town Centre to wait for Katie. You guys really love the track. George, you did several laps, then got too sweaty, so you took your shirt off…but left your bowtie on. You made a lot of people laugh tonight, including me. You’re such a funny little guy.
Katie, you received your uniform tonight and were delighted to be able to keep your number 16. I’m glad too, because it’s one less thing I’ll have to remember. Lol. I got you new cleats the other day, and I specifically asked you to get a really bright unusual color so my old eyes wouldn’t have to work so hard to find you on the field. You got bright sunshine yellow. Thank you.
Katie, we finally got your phone all hooked up tonight. FINALLY. That was a long process, and I’m happy that it’s done and you’ve got your phone that you’ve been patiently waiting for…because up until today, you were the ONLY KID ON EARTH who didn’t have a cell phone.
Jane, you met Ellen after work and headed to Metrotown to do some back to school shopping. You came back home with tons of stuff and a big smile. You’re so excited about your new clothes and all the fun looks you’ll be able to create.
Today is daddy’s birthday, but because everyone was so busy, we decided to celebrate on Monday instead.
