little dippers
  • I looked at the weather forecast last night and saw that today was going to be the last day of sunshine before the rain hit again.  Lila, I made the executive decision to keep you home from school and take you and Georgie to the lake for the day.
  • Jane, when you walk to school, you have to leave at 7:20 to get there on time.  It seems so very early to me.  Usually I'm just starting to get the babies going when you're heading out the door.
  • You two were so excited about going to the lake, you ran to change into your bathing suits.  George you were cracking me up with your white socks pulled up so high and your little black ankle boots.
  • The lake was COLD, but you guys didn't care one little bit.  There was still snow on the grassy parts of the beach.  You swam, then came and sunned yourselves on your little chairs, had a little snack, then started the cycle all over again.  We were there from 11:00 until 4:00, and you would have stayed there as long as I let you.  It was so nice to be out and about with the two of you.  Just like the good old days.
  • George, you were super sleepy on the way home.  You're so dang cute.
  • The sun starts to shine into our kitchen in the evenings right about this time of year.  It makes a huge difference because our kitchen is really pretty dark most of the winter.
